Homemade Chicken Big Mac

This is my take on the Chicken Big Mac using a spicy big mac sauce and fresh fried chicken cutlets.


Spicy Big Mac Sauce

1/2 Cup Mayo

2 Tbsp Ketchup

1 Tbsp Yellow Mustard

2 Tbsp Sweet Relish 

2 Tsp White Vinegar 

1/4 tsp onion powder 

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp paprika 

1/2 tsp hot sauce - I used El Yucateco. This is VERY spicy, so if using a standard hot sauce I’d recommend using 1 full tsp. 


Bread Crumb Mixture

1.5 Cups Panko Breadcrumbs

1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan

1 Tbsp Salt

2 Tsp Pepper 


Other components:

Thinly Sliced Chicken Cutlets

Hamburger Pickle Chips

Shredded Lettuce

American Cheese

Seeded Hamburger Buns

Oil for frying


Step 1: Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside


Step 2: Mix bread crumb ingredients together and set aside 


Step 3: Toast buns in a pan then set aside


Step 4: For the chicken, I cut them a little smaller to fit the bun. I built a typical dredge station of flour, egg and breadcrumbs. Fry until cooked through and brown/crispy. 


Step 5: Assemble. Bottom and middle bunt get a layer of sauce, then pickles and then lettuce. Add a chicken cutlet and slice of cheese for each layer.
